What do we mean by ‘Bespoke’?
Savile Row in central London is world famous for its traditional bespoke tailoring.
The term bespoke is understood to have originated in Savile Row when cloth for a suit was said to be “be spoken for” by an individual.
In creating a ‘bespoke’ item our services go well beyond the taking of basic measurements as we assess an individual’s posture and body shape to ensure the perfect fit.
When purchasing clothes most people do not realise the level of compromising that is actually made when an item is purchased ‘off the rack’.
Every person’s body shape is different. Hence when you purchase an item off the rack unless you happen to be the perfect shape for that item there will be little compromises everywhere – perhaps too tight across the shoulders, the sleeves may be too long, the collar does not button up, maybe the drape of the coat doesn’t quite suit the body shape or posture.
This may go unnoticed until you treat yourself to our bespoke tailoring service.
